Grove Park Library & Library Gardens

Written by

e Grove Park Library is a cherished community assets, especially for the little ones of Grove Park who enjoy visiting to take out new stories to read.

The Library Gardens at the rear has a special connection to GPCG. It was one of the first projects which the Group decided to tackle after it was formed, working to convert this small piece of land behind Grove Park Library into a park and children’s play area. GPCG raised the money at a Fete and Jumble sales to buy trees and play equipment for the area, now called Grove Park Library Gardens. In 1976 the Under 5’s building in the Library Gardens was completed.

Today the playground is looking tired and so renewed effort has began by the community who is campaigning for its improvement.
