A new social games evening is joining the growing programme of activities at the Ringway Centre, offering local residents a relaxed way to meet people, enjoy a few friendly games and spend an enjoyable evening together.

Following a successful trial event, Game for a Laugh will officially launch on Tuesday 11 August and will then take place on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month.
The evening is designed to be informal and welcoming, with a choice of activities including table tennis, darts, board games, card games and snooker bingo. Whether you’re feeling competitive or simply fancy a chat over a cup of tea, everyone is encouraged to join in at their own pace.
As with many Grove Park Community Group activities, the emphasis is on bringing people together. Since it was formed more than 50 years ago, GPCG has worked to create opportunities for local people to connect through shared activities, recreation and community events, a purpose that continues at the Ringway Centre today.
The evening includes free tea or coffee and nibbles, while sweets and pick-and-mix will also be available to buy. Guests are welcome to bring their own tipple.
If you’re looking for a friendly evening out, or simply an opportunity to meet new people locally, Game for a Laugh promises plenty of fun, conversation and community spirit.

Game for a Laugh will continue on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at the Ringway Centre.
The evening is also looking for a few friendly volunteers. You don’t have to spend the whole evening organising games – you might simply welcome people as they arrive, help serve refreshments or lend a hand with setting up and tidying away.
Whether you’re keen to join in the games or prefer helping behind the scenes, volunteering is a great way to meet people and become part of the Ringway Centre community.
