SUMMARY:Grove Park & Beyond - September Wellness Walks
DESCRIPTION:Join Sonja for the Wednesday Wellness Walks\, exploring local parks\, green spaces and neighbourhoods in and around Grove Park. \nWalks take place every Wednesday at 10.30am and usually last up to 90 minutes. Unless stated otherwise\, walks start from the Ringway Centre\, 268 Baring Road\, SE12 0DS. \nWalks are not normally cancelled\, although the route may occasionally need to change on the day. \n2 September – Local walk\nStarting from the Ringway Centre\, this walk will take in Chinbrook Meadows\, Shaftesbury Park and the playing fields\, finishing near a bus stop on Downham Way. There will also be the option of a café visit nearby. \n9 September – Foots Cray Meadows\nPlease note: meet at Lee Station\, Platform 2\, at 10.30am. \nThe group will take the first available train to Albany Park before walking towards Five Arches Bridge by a different route from previous visits. The walk will finish at Sidcup Place\, where there are plenty of buses for the return journey. \n16 September – Catford to Lee Green\n \nThe group will take the 284 bus to Catford Bridge and walk through Ladywell Fields\, Lewisham Park\, Manor Park and Manor House Gardens\, finishing in Lee Green. \n23 September – Blackheath via three parks\nStarting from the Ringway Centre\, this route heads towards Blackheath through Horn Park\, Sutcliffe Park and Cator Park\, finishing near Blackheath Station. \n30 September – Hall Place\nPlease note: meet at Lee Station at 10.30am. \nThe group returns to Hall Place using a new route developed after changes made the previous approach inaccessible. DESCRIPTION:Game for a Laugh is a friendly social evening at the Ringway Centre\, bringing together local residents for a few hours of games\, conversation and laughter. \nWhether you enjoy a competitive game of table tennis or darts\, prefer board games and cards\, or simply want to sit down with a cup of tea and good company\, there’s something for everyone. No experience is needed\, and you’re welcome to join in as much or as little as you like. \nFollowing a successful trial evening\, Game for a Laugh will now become a regular part of the Ringway Centre calendar\, taking place on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month.
