Sharing a meal is one of the simplest ways to bring people together. This Christmas, Grove Park Community Group’s lunch returns to the Ringway Centre after the success of previous years, offering residents aged 65 or over a chance to celebrate with their neighbours.
Join us on Monday 7 December 2026, from 12 noon to 3pm, for a festive meal and good company.
You can come with friends or come on your own, meet your neighbours and perhaps leave with a few new friendships.
Making time for human connection matters, particularly during a season that can feel lonely for some. A shared table offers space for conversation, laughter and getting to know people who live nearby but whose paths you might not otherwise cross.
The lunch welcomes people from all backgrounds who are aged 65 or over and live in Grove Park ward. Whether you regularly visit the Ringway Centre or this will be your first time, you will be welcome, and access ramps are available for people with disabilities or mobility needs.
Attendance is free, so the cost of a meal need not be a barrier to joining the celebration. Donations are welcome, but reservations are essential as places are limited, and only ticket holders can attend.
Reserve a place at the table
Tickets can be booked by email or by calling 0208 857 7980 and they need to be collected from the Ringway Centre office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, between 10am and 3pm. Please bring proof of address, such as a utility bill or council tax bill.
You can book and collect tickets for friends or neighbours as well as yourself. Everyone attending must be aged 65 or over and live in Grove Park ward, and proof of address must be provided for each person when collecting their ticket.
The lunch takes place at the Ringway Centre, 268 Baring Road, Grove Park, London SE12 0DS. Please collect your tickets early, and help spread the word to a neighbour who might enjoy coming along.
